We've incorporated all of this season's major trends: black and gold, cremes and pastels, sequins, detailing, and the ballerina fit. The first dress is a sequined black and gold look sure to turn heads. It can be purchased online at Modcloth.com for only $109.99! The next dress is black and gold as well and with one shoulder it looks sophisticated yet fun. This one can be purchased at Modcloth.com as well for $104.99. After this there is a third and final black and gold dress that is fitted and chic. It comes from Modcloth.com and can be purchased for only $69.99.  The fourth dress featured is sequined while having that ballerina fit with an edge. Like the other two, this one is found at Modcloth.com for $119.99. The next dress is a sequined dress with a great fit and interesting design. You can be the life of the party with this dress from Modcloth.com for a steal of $87.99. After that is the great creme dress with a soft, classy, and graceful look. This one is found at lulus.com for $66.00. We go on to the next dress which is a pastel/creme dress with an elegant ballerina fit. It is found at lulus.com as well for $101.00. Moving on to the next trend in holiday dresses we have a black dress with great detailing along the neckline, it's versatile enough to be worn to a family dinner or a party. It also has a great price of $44.00 at lulus.com. Our last holiday dress has beautiful shoulder detailing with black roses and is simple yet poised. It is from lulus.com as well and is only $42.00. Final Fall Trend: Ferocious Fur

Alright, here's the final Fall Trend! This trend also transitions into Winter, but you can't do as much with fur as you can with military. First of all, we want you guys to know that all the pieces featured are FAUX fur. We personally don't like real fur, but are by no means extremists. Wearing fur is very bold, so wear it cautiously yet confidently. Pair it with bold accessories. You can also make it more feminine and less edgy by choosing a white fur. Remember, wearing faux fur doesn't have to cost you a fortune. One of us just got a Steve Madden faux fur coat for $40.00 at TJ Maxx the other day. The first two fur vests are from Macy's and are both around $50.00. The next two coats are from http://www.fabulousfurs.com/ and are both under $200.00. The last two are from Express and are around $100.00. Most importantly, we want to remind you guys not to just shop the trends. You should incorporate them in your wardrobe, but you want to save some timeless pieces. It will give you some individuality. You want to have your own sense of style instead of just what's in today, because as Heidi Klum tells us on Project Runway, "In fashion, one day you're in, and the next day you're out."

Fall Trend #3: Heads Up for Military

This is the third fall trend, and our personal favorite- military. It's also the most popular. With this trend you can do pretty much anything you want because there are so many pieces that are involved. The problem, though, is this look can be overdone. Remember, people, you're not in the military. You're trying to pull off the look. So don't wear cargo pants, boots, a camo top, and the military jacket. You want to try and wear one piece at a time or else it will look overdone and like you're trying too hard. Also, PLEASE do not wear camo! "Oh, really? You're going for the military look? Who coulda guessed?" It's way too cliche and obvious. You want to be a little more original than that. All of the boots are from ModCloth.com, one of our favorite sites for finding trends, if you haven't noticed yet. The dress (item 3), shirt (item 8), vest (item 10), and final jacket (item 11) are all from dELiAs. The black jacket (item 6) is from Macy's and would be considered our splurge. We like to try and keep things on a budget for you guys, but when we saw this jacket, we couldn't resist. It is $199.99. The other two jackets pictured (items 7 and 9) are from ModCloth.com. This look is fairly easy to pull off if you do it right and can look very grunge-chic. However, it is very easy to overdo it, so be careful! If you guys have any questions about this trend or any of these pieces, just ask! In fact, if you guys ever have any questions on anything fashion, just comment on any post.

Fall Trend #2: Gotta love lace

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while since our last post. Things have been so busy with the two of us but we are so excited to share the rest of the hottest fall trends with everyone, as well as give you some examples of how to pull off these trends without breaking your budget. The next trend we are going to cover is lace. This is very in right now and is a really easy look to accomplish. A lace top can be worn casually with jeans or you could pair a pretty lace dress with heels. We love that lace is very soft and feminine without looking like you're trying too hard. Our weather here for fall can be very warm one day while cool the next. It is for this reason that it's important to have a wide variety of pieces in your closet for this season. Because of this we chose some sleeveless tops as well as short sleeve and long sleeve tops. All of these tops while plain and simple are versatile and stylish. This gives you a lot of room to add in a personal touch with accessories without it being chaotic. The first 6 pieces we chose are from dELiAs. This is one of our favorite stores for truly feminine pieces because they put an emphasis on that. The last piece is from ModCloth.com which is a site we have mentioned before but for our new readers it's an amazing online boutique specializing in anything retro or vintage. If you guys have any questions about how you can achieve an easy lace look or where you can find more pieces please ask!

Fall trend #1: Menswear inspired clothing

All of the dresses and shoes in this blog can be found at ModCloth.com.
The first fall trend we would like to cover is menswear inspired women's clothing. This first dress is very pretty and womanly yet still has a part of it that reflects a menswear suit. The top part of the dress is similar to that of a blazer and dress shirt. The whole thing being a solid navy blue also is similar to that of a men's suit. The way it flows however, makes it still very feminine. It is great for the working girl who wants to look professional as well as chic. It is also affordable as well, which makes it even better!

The second dress is also very cute and has a feminine touch with the flower added to it. It resembles a mens suit as well and could be worn to work or out. Thats something that makes this dress so good. It is something that is a good dress for all ages whether you are 18 or 38. It's flattering and professional while still flirty and cute. It could easily take you from a day at the office to a dinner date. Like all of the other pieces it is trendy and affordable which is always the best combination to find.

This next dress is obviously very menswear inspired. The top is that of a dress shirt while the bottom resembles that of pants in a suit. The ruffles shoulders and pink hue make it girly as well. This outfit is something that we think would flatter any body type with the high waistline and long black skirt. The whole dress itself is very sophisticated and stylish. It's perfect for a job or college interview or a day at the office. You still look professional without looking washed out.

The fourth dress is the most casual out of all these looks. It can be worn on an everyday basis as well as dressed up. It brings in many elements of menswear. The fabric is that of a dress shirt and with the collar and buttons is clearly reflects that. The colors bring in a business suit element. This dress is very modern and trendy as well as casual and fun. It's something that we think can be worn outside of the work place as well as inside.

This is our final dress and my(Madison's) personal favorite.  We love the idea of a business suit fabric being made into such a feminine dress. The corset like top is very cute and the dress as a whole would complement any body type. We also love how they brought in the green in the sides and straps as well as added the belt to tie it all together. This dress is perfect for just about anything. A day out with your friends or a business meeting. It's very stylish yet still very classy.

Next is shoes. All of which are menswear inspired with their own feminine twist. We chose these 5 pair of shoes because we thought they best represented what a menswear inspired shoe really is.  They all interestingly combine both mens and womens shoe styles to make a super trendy shoe that any woman would want to wear.

Finally, here are our two favorite celebrity menswear inspired looks. These two celebs have recently been spotted out in the growing trend and we absolutley love their looks.
First it's Blake Lively in  menswear inspired pants and shoes. We love how she combined these with soft colors and accessories to make it very flirty and feminine. Her look is so versitle and chic. Way to go Blake!

The other star is Carrie Underwood.  We love the way she combined the tie, blazer, and pinstripe shorts. The look is super cute and girly while clearly menswear inspired. We love how both Blake and Carrie's looks are so fun and trendy.

So that's our take on the menswear trend. If you have any questions or want advice please comment! Keep checking up for other fall trends that will send you back to school in style!

Livvy's Personal Style- Soft, Girly, Flirty, Chic, Retro

Hey there, fashionistas! Alrighty, so this is my (Livvy's) outfit that I think best represents my personal style. Madison and I have very similar taste in fashion in the sense that we both love very girly and soft, feminine pieces. We are total shopaholics and do like to blow our money every chance we get! But, that's off topic.

The first piece is the shoes. I always like to start an outfit from the shoes on up, because it's so much easier narrowing everything down and putting together an outfit if you already have the shoes picked out. Now, all of the pieces shown can be purchased from Modcloth.com online.

These boots are called "Butler Street" and are $39.99. I love their sepia-toned color, the lace-up front, the almond-shaped toe and the cuff. What's great as well is that the boots are so versatile. They can be paired with numerous outfits, and every girl needs boots like that! They have a nice, retro feel and are great for everyday outings.

Now, onward! The next piece is the dress. I absolutely ADORE dresses paired with boots like these. The matching of the two is so cute and the dress really plays up the entire outfit. This dress is called "Feeling Bubbly" and is $79.99. I love the navy blue color because it goes fantastically with the boots, and it's super retro and chic. It reminds me of a sailor girl and the bust of the dress is just stunning. I think that the fit of the dress would compliment a lot of body types, as well. Like the boots, the dress is so versatile and could easily be matched with flats, heels, wedges, you name it!
Okay, so now we've got the two main pieces- shoes and dress. Now, it's time to glam it up with accessories! The first accessories piece really ties the whole outfit together perfectly. Not only does it make the dress match a lot better with the boots, it fits with my flirty, chic, girly, soft, retro look. Adding a belt to almost any outfit makes it look 1,000 times better. This belt is called "Save the Bets for Lasso" and is $17.99. I love how it's wide and braided, and I absolutely love the gold rope-like buckle. Very cool. It's practical and chic, and can go with nearly anything!

These pieces of jewelery really complete the whole outfit, in my opinion. The necklace is called "Anchoring for Accessories" and goes along with the nautical feel.
The last piece is a beautiful, classy ring. The ring is called "Wingfield Ring" and is $15.99. Obviously, the blue of the roses matches the dress and boots, while the gold of the band looks great with the necklace and buckle of the belt. The ring gives the look a slightly classy, elegant touch and, yet again, is such a versatile piece of accessory, which is one of my pet peeves. Because, why buy something if it can only be worn once?

I hope you enjoyed an inside look on my personal style. Not all of you have to like it, I'm just showing you the types of things I love to wear. For me, it's all about looking good and making a statement everywhere I go! If you have any questions on any of the individual pieces or are unsure about things you can pair with them, feel free to ask away! That's what we're here for- advice and insight on fashion.

Thanks for reading!

Love,
Livvy
